I am a Winner

We individuals should not take defeat easily. There will be times when things will not go right. That's when we should stop and think!

Our movie "I am a Winner" is about a person who persevered and became a winner at the end and left one of his teachers speechless.

Please watch our movie and leave a nice and helpful comments for us in Room 1.

Kiwi Can

30/06/2016

At Kiwi Can today the most loved game we played was called Paper, Scissors and Rock. We were divided into 2 teams and we had to run as fast as possible following the cone direction and play paper, scissors and rock game. The loser went and lined at the back of their team and the winner who reached the end point scored 1 point for their group. While playing this game we learnt to be honest.

Kiwi Sport

Our first day of Kiwi Sport. This term we will be learning how to play basket ball. But before we start playing the real basket ball we need to learn some cool techniques.

Maths

Today we were learning to solve the maths problem which is shown below. We worked in 2 separate groups. We were given one paddock and 4 toy cows and the other group was given a scissors, cellotape and strip of papers and 4 cows as well. While our teacher checked other groups work we collaborated and solved the problem. Then we were given 8 cows. Mrs Kumar said to work together and use our learning experiences and solve the problem the best way possible. She also asked us that we should be able to explain our thinking, how we as a group solved the problem. It was fun working the materials.

Kiwi Can

Today we learnt how to solve conflicts or resolve conflicts. We played some games to demonstrate how to solve problems by being respectful.

Day 3 with Constable Jude

Today Constable Jude taught us how to put the seat belts on and which way to get of the parked car. We all learnt that the house side is the best side so that we are safe. If for some reason we have to get out on the road side then an adult must supervise for safety reasons.

Our Police Hats

We coloured out hats, cut it and then made a band so that it can fit around our heads. We even labelled our hats with our names.

Throwing skill

Today our class went to the hall and we practiced out throwing skill. We only focused on chest passing. We as a class had lots of fun.

Road Safety with Jude

Constable Jude showed us few pictures and together with her we discussed what to look out for before we cross at the driveway.

Some of the things we have to look out for at the driveway are:
* Listen for the sound
* Look for the white light at the back of the car as the white light means that it is reversing.
* Also if we see the smoke coming out of the muffler which will tell us that it is reversing.

Constable Jude

This morning Constable Jude came to our class and sole to us about Road Safety. She shared some of her personal experiences and lots of other things so that we can understand more about Road Safety. We talked about how crossing looks like, pedestrian crossing etc.
