At the party (By: Alex)

It was a bright sunny day. The birds were chirping and flying. Cars were outside, kids were at school playing. People were at the beach with there families swimming. Fat boy was 25 years old. He had blond hair and black eyes. Tomato was 23 years old it was her birthday. She had green eyes. The cake had no candles but the cake started to melt because of the icing. Tomato put the cake in the fridge and Fat boy went to the candle shop to get candles for the cake. The lesson learnt was to be plan ahead and be prepared. by: Alex

Travel Wise Week (19/5 - 26/5, 2014)

This is our Travel Wise Week.

The theme of the week in 2014 is 'Tune in to road safety'. We're all human: we daydream, get side-tracked, run late and make mistakes. But on roads, distractions can be fatal. When using roads, we all need to tune in to road safety and give it our full attention - particularly if we're at the wheel, but also when we're cycling, walking, skating, running, you name it - to keep ourselves and others safe.

We're asking everyone to pledge to tune in to road safety - that means promising to do your best to keep focused on the task at hand, and never putting yourself and others in danger for the sake of a call, text or other activity that can wait.

During the Week we'll be appealing to drivers to turn off their phones, and to everyone to help protect themselves and others by not speaking on the phone to someone who's driving, and when out on foot or bicycle getting off the phone, taking out headphones and taking care to stay focused on the task at hand.

Our original Halloween Poems!

Halloween is fun,
Halloween is scary.
Halloween has lollies with candy.

By Alex

Halloween Halloween I am a ghost.
I am invisible
I will eat you if you don't.

By Angelina

Halloween is cool and Halloween is fun
When we knock on people's door
They give us some lollies,
Because we dress scary.

By Riza-Dee

Halloween Halloween go to sleep,
dream about something very sweet.
It can be a holiday to London,
or New Zealand,
and it can be very spooky in Halloween.

By Danny

Halloween Halloween Halloween,
Dress up scary and spooky
and do trick or treat.

By Delta

Halloween is so spooky
Ghosts come out
Dream about lollies sweet
Whoa go ghosts
Halloween, halloween go to sleep
If you don't I'll eat some meat
I am invisible so I can float

Our Guided Inquiry Presentation

On Wednesday was our presentation for the Guided Inquiry Learning. That is whatever we learnt in Term 1 we had to come up with few questions to work in Term 2 by researching and presenting it to parents and other junior classes as they rotated among different classes.

It was quite interesting as apart from gaining confidence we learnt a lot from different classes presentation. Most importantly we learnt in which areas we need to work harder and get better at.

Our questions were as follows:

Images from the Boat groups presentation........

Images from the Helicopter groups presentation.......

Images from the Gondola groups presentation.......

Followed by images from the Chairlift groups presentation......

Rotation = Parents, teachers and kids joining in at different times.....
