It was the scariest day of AJ's and Janden's life. The weather was cold and people were having fun. The kids were running around the house with there balloons. AJ was 19 years old and he has bushy hair. He is clever and strong. Janden is i8 years old. He shows off to people. He got spiky hair. AJ was having a party with Jaden and when he went and opened the door the fire work came and crashed the windows. The curtains caught fire and the whole house was on fire. AJ and Jaden ran outside and they dialled 111 and the firemen came and put out the fire. Janden and AJ said Thank You to the fireman. The lesson learnt was do not throw fire works when there is a party inside the house.BY PENITOA

Travel Wise Week (19/5 - 26/5, 2014)

This is our Travel Wise Week.

The theme of the week in 2014 is 'Tune in to road safety'. We're all human: we daydream, get side-tracked, run late and make mistakes. But on roads, distractions can be fatal. When using roads, we all need to tune in to road safety and give it our full attention - particularly if we're at the wheel, but also when we're cycling, walking, skating, running, you name it - to keep ourselves and others safe.

We're asking everyone to pledge to tune in to road safety - that means promising to do your best to keep focused on the task at hand, and never putting yourself and others in danger for the sake of a call, text or other activity that can wait.

During the Week we'll be appealing to drivers to turn off their phones, and to everyone to help protect themselves and others by not speaking on the phone to someone who's driving, and when out on foot or bicycle getting off the phone, taking out headphones and taking care to stay focused on the task at hand.

My name is Riza-Dee and I tried to paint a dinosaur because they have spikes on their back.

My name is Penelise and I painted a butterfly because they can fly.

My name is Tydre and I painted a flower because bees can drink nectar off the flower.

My name is Davarni and I painted a horse because I like horses a lot.

Game of Softball

We had 3 other sessions learning softball skills.

Today we played Softball for the first time.

We learnt how to hold the bat and people not batting to stay away from the bat.

Our Guided Inquiry Presentation

On Wednesday was our presentation for the Guided Inquiry Learning. That is whatever we learnt in Term 1 we had to come up with few questions to work in Term 2 by researching and presenting it to parents and other junior classes as they rotated among different classes.

It was quite interesting as apart from gaining confidence we learnt a lot from different classes presentation. Most importantly we learnt in which areas we need to work harder and get better at.
